Bridesmaids Dresses

They have been ordered!! I got them at this little shop in ogden called The Gallery by Lynette.
When Aaron and I went in for the first time I knew I just had to have them. They are going to be just opposite, brown dress with a green tie. The girls will have pink flowers with ivory ribbons. April, Lindsey, and Jessica have been measured and now we are waiting till July 10 for when they come in.
We switched photographers yesterday as well. The original photographer that we had wouldn't return our phone calls and I actually never got to talk with him, it was always his wife. I'm really excited about the new photographer Kevin Dilley. He is a local, Ogden, photographer and his pictures are amazing. The thing that I like most about him is he is with us the whole day of our wedding, temple, luncheon, and reception.
We have most of the big things done and now we are just fine tuning the little details... More to come!!

Wedding Madness

So my mom came in on May 9th and we spent the next three days planning a wedding. We pretty much have everything done. Now all that there is left to do is the little things, but those add up. I sit at work and constantly think of things that I need to add to my list of things to buy and do. I am so ready for the wedding to be over and just spend the rest of my life with Aaron. It has been really hard being so far away from him. I have gotten to see him a lot because I get bored in Logan and drive to Ogden. Seriously in the past week I think I have been down there 3 or 4 times. He is coming up here tonight because it is his turn to drive. I am so sick of driving and being in my car. It's nice to get out of Logan and away from work though.
I feel really bad for my mom because I think she is starting to get really stressed out. My dad just had kidney stone surgery and has to stay in the hospital overnight, she has my brothers medical school graduation, family coming into town, and is helping me plan a wedding. Once this summer is over our family will be a little less stressed.

The Dress

I have found the dress. I am not going to post pictures because I want everyone to be surprised the day of the wedding. The only people that have seen the dress is my mom, Aaron's mom, and our dads. All I can say is that it is gorgeous. My mom flew into town on Saturday night and stayed here till Wednesday afternoon. We pretty much planned the entire wedding in three days. We got the cake, dress, photographer, flowers, and  invitation templates. We only have to do little things now. My colors are chocolate brown, light pink, cream, and sage green. Here is a picture of my cake.
I am going to be using light pink gerber daisies with white and pink roses for my flowers. If anyone has any tips for me please let me know. I can use all the help I can get.

Wedding Plans

THE FUN BEGINS!!!
I have spent the last week deciding everything that we should have for our wedding. Aaron is being so good and very very helpful with everything. Each day he asks me for a task that he can do. I love him!
He moved back down to Ogden so coming home from work and not seeing him is a little hard, but he came up last night and saw me. I get to go down there tomorrow and stay the weekend. My mom is flying in on Saturday night. We are spending the weekend in Ogden and then dress shopping starts when the sun rises on Monday.
We have appointments with florist, cake people, my mom wants to see the Ogden Country Club (where we are having the reception), and other little details.
Today I booked our photographer. His name is Dan Lund. Him and his wife run their company and she is super sweet. If you want to check out their style go to danlundphoto.com. Very classy but fun at the same time. My mom is really happy with his pictures. Anyways, I will most likely have more to talk about next week after we do the dress shopping..

The Proposal

WE'RE ENGAGED!!!!

Aaron proposed to me on May 1, 2009. It was the cutest thing ever. He told me that he wanted to take me out to dinner to celebrate the end of the semester. He was persistent on the idea of going to eat at 8:30pm, nothing earlier. We got into the car and he told me that he was going to take me somewhere special to celebrate the end of the semester. We started driving and I noticed that we were driving to "our spot", this place up by cliff side that overlooks the temple. We rounded the corner and this is what I saw.

His family had driven up from Odgen and set this up for Aaron. He had gotten our friend Molly to make chocolate covered strawberries and had his cousin Tim setup his laptop with a slide show and music. Everything was perfect.

When we got there he immediately sat me down and got on one knee. Right then a car drove by, honked, and yelled congratulations. It was pretty funny because he hadn't even asked anything yet.

He pulled out the ring and asked me to marry him. I took the ring and tried to fit it on my finger and it wouldn't go on. It a little bit small but somehow I shoved it on.

We watched the slide show that he made for me and listened to music then went to the Bluebird cafe to meet his family for dinner. Here are some pictures from the night.

This was our view from the lookout.. So pretty!

Our date is August 15th, 2009 in the Logan LDS Temple. Our reception will be held in Ogden Utah at the Odgent Golf and Country Club.
