An update!!

Aaron and I finally walked for graduation in May. Aaron finished his school last August but never was able to walk. I finally finished my school work and we walked together with friends and family cheering in the crowd. My mom was able to come out (my dad wasn't able to come because the Predators were able to make it to the 2nd round), my grandma and Aunt Suzi flew in from Oregon, and my grandparents drove down from Canada. Aaron mom, dad, sister, and cousin all made the trip up to Logan as well. The weekend was filled with family time, eating, and hockey. Graduation day was very long. We started the day off by attending the Commencement ceremony and a walk through the campus (for the last time). After Commencement we went to Coppermill for lunch and then rushed back to have our colleges ceremony. Luckily Aaron and I were in the same college. We walked across the stage and received our diploma covers (I thought it was really funny that inside the diploma cover it says "this does not guarantee graduation"). After the college ceremony we headed back to our place and took a nap before the Predators game started. We headed over to the hotel where everyone was staying and watched the Predators game in the main lobby. We ordered pizza and had graduation cake. The front desk lady was really cool about us being there and even joined in the celebration (we won that night). All in all the weekend was really fun. When I get pictures I will post them for everyone to see.

Peterson For Parkinson's Dinner

The night before the golf tournament my dad hosted a huge dinner at the Factory in Franklin. They then asked me if it would be okay if they blog stalked me.. This is a shout out for you Jamie and Tressa. I hope you enjoy my blog and I will be much better at updating it. I can't believe its been a year since I got on this. A lot has happened since then. I quit my job at the University because they were horrible to me. I did a lot for them and it was really sad but it was the best move for me. I got a new job at a place called Conservice. It is a utility billing and management company. We take the bills of apt communities and process their utilities bills for them so they don't have to worry about it. I was a processor and did data entry, but after two months I got a promotion to a team lead. I started of by doing the night shift because of my school schedule but now I work during the day and love every minute of it. The environment is awesome, its a growing company, health benefits, and a wage increase from my last job. Aaron is working at Legacy House Assisted living as a CNA and MedTech. He was finished with school in August and now is just waiting for me to finish. I finish this May and we will both walk together at graduation. Pretty much our lives consist of us working and me doing and online class. Aaron applied for PA school this year and we are now waiting to hear back from 3 schools that he interviewed at. I hate the waiting game. Nothing else is really new.. Our families are doing good and we are doing good in Logan. I promise to be a better blogger in the coming months!

Fun at the Wedding

Our reception was tons of fun. Aaron and I decided that we were going to greet out guests from 7-8pm. We didn't have our family or wedding party stand in the line, I hate that. I wanted them to enjoy themselves. After we greeted our guests we cut the cake, threw the garter and flowers, and danced till 9 pm. It was a blast. We officially have 9 days until the wedding day. I am getting so excited. My mom flys out next tuesday and my dad flys out on wednesday. My whole family from canada and oregon and tennessee will get here on Thursday afternoon. My best friend and her family are flying out as well and can't wait to see them all.

So here are some updates since I haven't written on here in a while. We found an apt!!!! We will be living right across from the hospital on 400 east in a townhouse. It is a cute little 2 bedroom 1 and a half bath. I can't wait to move this saturday and get everything put together. EXCITING TIMES!!

Aaron got a job working as a CNA at the legacy house here in Logan. He started training this week and loves it. He has worked two nights and is working tonight. Its really hard for him because he has to still go to school at Weber and then drive up to work and then back down to Ogden to be ready for school in the morning... I am just so happy that he is doing something that he enjoys!

I am still working away at the University Inn and Conference Center at USU. I am really busy doing event coordination and the week after the wedding is a crazy week but I get to pass it off to LeeAnn and make her do it.

Other then that, I am just getting ready to move Saturday to the new place and doing small little preparations for the wedding. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.. I have never done this before hehe!!!

Engagement Pictures

So we are taking our engagement pictures on July 2nd. I am really excited because of the photographer that we have. Like I said before he is local to Ogden and does pretty much whatever we want to. I am thinking of some inside studio shots and some outside in a park. I am also wanting to go to an old building and take some in front of that. I think old things look so cool in pictures. Does anyone have any suggestions for places in Ogden? I am taking my bridals on July 13th in Ogden as well. I was thinking of going to the old train station and taking some there. Aaron's dad is a train conductor so I thought that would be cool. Of course I would also do like studio shots and some other ones outside. I am really excited because my best friend Jessica, and maid of honor, is coming to Utah on July 10th. She is going to be here for my bridal shower. We are having one that week and then one the next week for my friends in Logan.
The dress store called yesterday and said that the delivery of my dress is right on time. I just have to set up an appointment with the seamstress to get fitted. I am so excited to see it. I also got my shoes for the wedding too. I got chocolate brown heels to walk of the temple in and then I got sage green tennis shoe flats. They are for the reception because I am going to be on my feet the whole day. If anyone that is already married has any suggestions that I should know about please send them my way. thanks!

Bridesmaids Dresses

They have been ordered!! I got them at this little shop in ogden called The Gallery by Lynette.
When Aaron and I went in for the first time I knew I just had to have them. They are going to be just opposite, brown dress with a green tie. The girls will have pink flowers with ivory ribbons. April, Lindsey, and Jessica have been measured and now we are waiting till July 10 for when they come in.

We switched photographers yesterday as well. The original photographer that we had wouldn't return our phone calls and I actually never got to talk with him, it was always his wife. I'm really excited about the new photographer Kevin Dilley. He is a local, Ogden, photographer and his pictures are amazing. The thing that I like most about him is he is with us the whole day of our wedding, temple, luncheon, and reception.

We have most of the big things done and now we are just fine tuning the little details... We pretty much have everything done. Now all that there is left to do is the little things, but those add up. I sit at work and constantly think of things that I need to add to my list of things to buy and do. I am so ready for the wedding to be over and just spend the rest of my life with Aaron. It has been really hard being so far away from him. I have gotten to see him a lot because I get bored in Logan and drive to Ogden. Seriously in the past week I think I have been down there 3 or 4 times. He is coming up here tonight because it is his turn to drive. I am so sick of driving and being in my car. It's nice to get out of Logan and away from work though.
I feel really bad for my mom because I think she is starting to get really stressed out. My dad just had kidney stone surgery and has to stay in the hospital overnight, she has my brothers medical school graduation, family coming into town, and is helping me plan a wedding. Once this summer is over our family will be a little less stressed.

The Dress

I have found the dress. I am not going to post pictures because I want everyone to be surprised the day of the wedding. The only people that have seen the dress is my mom, Aaron's mom, and our dads. All I can say is that it is gorgeous. My mom flew into town on Saturday night and stayed here till Wednesday afternoon. We pretty much planned the entire wedding in three days. We got the cake, dress, photographer, flowers, and invitation templates. We only have to do little things now. My colors are chocolate brown, light pink, cream, and sage green. Here is a picture of my cake.

I am going to be using light pink gerber daisies with white and pink roses for my flowers. If anyone has any tips for me please let me know. I can use all the help I can get.

Wedding Plans

THE FUN BEGINS!!!
I have spent the last week deciding everything that we should have for our wedding. Aaron is being so good and very very helpful with everything. Each day he asks me for a task that he can do. I love him!

He moved back down to Ogden so coming home from work and not seeing him is a little hard, but he came up last night and saw me. I get to go down there tomorrow and stay the weekend. My mom is flying in on Saturday night. We are spending the weekend in Ogden and then dress shopping starts when the sun rises on Monday.

We have appointments with florist, cake people, my mom wants to see the Ogden Country Club (where we are having the reception), and other little details.

Today I booked our photographer. His name is Dan Lund. Him and his wife run their company and she is super sweet. If you want to check out their style go to danlundphoto.com. Very classy but fun at the same time. My mom is really happy with his pictures. Anyways, I will most likely have more to talk about next week after we do the dress shopping..

The Proposal

WE'RE ENGAGED!!!!

Aaron proposed to me on May 1, 2009. It was the cutest thing ever. He told me that he wanted to take me out to dinner to celebrate the end of the semester. He was persistent on the idea of going to eat at 8:30pm, nothing earlier. We got into the car and he told me that he was going to take me somewhere special to celebrate the end of the semester. We started driving and I noticed that we were driving to "our spot", this place up by cliff side that overlooks the temple. We rounded the corner and this is what I saw.

His family had driven up from Odgen and set this up for Aaron. He had gotten our friend Molly to make chocolate covered strawberries and had his cousin Tim setup his laptop with a slide show and music. Everything was perfect.

When we got there he immediately sat me down and got on one knee. Right then a car drove by, honked, and yelled congratulations. It was pretty funny because he hadn't even asked anything yet.

He pulled out the ring and asked me to marry him. I took the ring and tried to fit it on my finger and it wouldn't go on. It a little bit small but somehow I shoved it on.

We watched the slide show that he made for me and listened to music then went to the Bluebird cafe to meet his family for dinner.
